I was a 902 medic assigned to TUSLOG Detachment 119 in September 1975.  We were a "hospital" for about two weeks after my arrival.  One of the first tasks I was given was to go onto the unused Fourth Floor Surgical Suite with another medic and dismantle it - discard most items and destroy other items which might be salvaged by trash-pickers and wind-up on the black market.  The "Med/Surg" ward had zero patients.  We just shut the whole thing down.  By the end of October 1975,Det 119 was only a M-F 0730 to 1630 clinic.  From 1630 to 0730 and all weekend it was an emergency room.  TUSLOG got rid of all of our nurses by the end of the year and the 902's received further training to cover that loss.

From the Autumn of 1975, TUSLOG Det 119 was most definitely NOT a hospital.  Any patient requiring more treatment than our outfit could provide was evac'd to the USAF Hospital at İncirlik.
